Enhancing the well-being of our community though education and engagement.

Community Education

Welcome to the Community Education and Outreach page at the University of Miami’s Division of Movement Disorders. Our division is committed to enhancing the well-being of our community through education and engagement. We provide a range of programs designed to educate and support not only patients and their families but also local healthcare providers and the general public. Our initiatives include workshops, seminars, and support groups that cover various aspects of movement disorders, promoting awareness and understanding of these conditions. Join us as we strive to empower our community with knowledge and resources, fostering a collaborative environment for all those affected by movement disorders.

Educational Programs & Partnerships

Our division is actively involved in educating both patients and providers in the South Florida community. We collaborate with organizations like APDA, Parkinson’s Association of SW Florida, PF, and HDSA to deliver seminars and workshops throughout the year. Many past lectures are available at VuMedi.
