Biography

Dr. Jennifer L. Hislop is a movement disorders neurologist currently practicing as an attending at the Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center in Miami, Florida. She completed her Movement Disorders Fellowship at the University of Miami and her Neurology Residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. Dr. Hislop has also earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina.

Throughout her training, Dr. Hislop has been deeply involved in research focused on movement disorders, including innovative work with deep brain stimulation (DBS) and programming techniques to improve outcomes for patients with Parkinson's disease and other conditions. Her work has been featured in numerous prestigious conferences, such as the American Academy of Neurology and the Movement Disorder Society Congress. In addition to her clinical and research endeavors, Dr. Hislop is committed to mentoring and teaching the next generation of neurologists. She has been actively engaged in professional organizations such as the American Academy of Neurology, where she is a mentee in the Women Mentoring Excellence in Neurology program, highlighting her dedication to advancing the field and supporting her peers.
